GENERAL CARE
Our plated jewelry is protected with two layers of anti-tarnish solution, but may wear with time and improper care.
Protect and maintain your plated jewelry by avoiding contact with agents such as soaps, perfume, lotion, makeup, hair & cleaning products, etc.
The ROSA MIA jewelry pouch doubles as protective storage and as a polishing cloth to keep it looking bright and shiny.
STERLING SILVER JEWELRY CARE
Sterling Silver is delicate and may be damaged if not handled with care.
Senstive skin types should especially avoid contact with water, soaps, perfume, lotion, makeup, hair, and cleaning products.
We recommend using the pouch to store your jewelry and polish your jewelry as needed. To clean, rub your jewelry gently in one direction.
VERMEIL JEWELRY CARE
Silver cleaning cloths cannot be used on Vermeil jewelry. Using jewelry dips or polishes is also not recommended as they may contain harsh agents.
Maintain your jewelry’s shine by avoiding contact with agents such as water perfume, lotion, makeup, hair & cleaning products. Store your ROSA MIA Fine Jewelry in its pouch or box for safe keeping.
GEMSTONE CARE
Some stones are more fragile than others and can break, crack, or scratch if not handled with care.
Any stone that is ranked 5 or below on the Mohs Hardness Scale should not be put in water as they may dissolve or crack if they come into contact for an extended period of time.
Some popular stones that rank 5 or below are Opal, Malachine, Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise, and more. Refer to the the Mohs Hardness Scale to find out whether your gemstone needs special care.
We proritize ethical working conditions and environmental responsibility throughout every level of supply chain in our business.
We use vegetable ink in our "Thank you" and "Jewelry Care" cards and use recycled materials for our packaging. To properly recycle our poly mailers, remove the bubble padding and drop it off at your local recycling collection points.
ETHICAL METALS
Ethical sourcing is an integral guiding principle for our business. All of the metals we handle are sourced from refiners that are in good legal standing and they independently audit that all supplies are traceable and conflict-free.
A majority of the gold and silver sold to us is recycled, and we continue to request recycled metals whenever they are available.
As part of our commitment to environmental responsiblility, we incorporate recycled Sterling Silver and Copper into our designs and we recycle our scrap metals either through local recycling centers or by transforming them into new jewelry pieces.
CONFLICT-FREE GEMSTONES
We have created long-standing relationships with trusted and transparent gemstone suppliers in the industry that ensure their business operates with ethical working conditions, fair wages, recycled metals, and conflict-free stones.
